A Shared Data Ecosystem for Health Innovation

OmicSpace is a common data space where diverse stakeholders in the healthcare sector— including research centers, hospitals, public administrations, and private entities — can securely and voluntarily share and reuse data. Its goal is to foster research and innovation through shared governance frameworks that ensure data protection and uphold the sovereignty of all participants.

OmicSpace focuses on the healthcare domain and supports activities related to research, innovation, and evidence-based policy development.

Peer-to-Peer Data Sharing:

Participant Sovereignty:

Each organization retains full control over its own data, ensuring that sovereignty is respected at all times.

Trust and Security:

Certification and compliance mechanisms are in place to ensure data reliability and integrity, fostering trust among ecosystem participants.

Technological Independence:

OmicSpace is technology-agnostic, ensuring flexibility and compatibility across a wide range of platforms and digital infrastructures.

The project is led by the Health Research Institute La Fe and the Research Foundation of the Hospital and Polytechnic La Fe of the Valencian Community
